Objectives
This project aims to assess and design resilient, sustainable energy solutions that address the unique needs of marginalized communities, as well as the broader challenges faced by the national grid under the pressures of electrification and climate change. Students will conduct interdisciplinary analyses, develop optimized concepts for decentralized systems, and model scenarios to explore how local solutions and grid-wide strategies can together enhance both equitable access and overall energy system reliability.

• Contact the supervisors of your chosen topics and arrange a short video call.
Please send your CV, transcript of grades and a short mail explaining your interest in the topic.
• The supervisors will make the final decision regarding seminar enrollment.
• By Monday, 20 October 2025 at the latest, you will be informed whether, and if so, with which topic you can complete the project internship.

Prerequisites

Teaching and learning methods
The seminar will consist of weekly sessions to discuss progress, methodologies, and findings. Learning will be reinforced through practical assignments related to the project goals.
Examination
Assessment will be based on the tasks accomplished during the seminar and a final report.
