Band saw
A band saw is a machine tool whose tool consists of a band saw blade welded into a closed ring. The band saw blade, which is available in all common tooth pitches and setups, is guided by two wheels, thus allowing endless uninterrupted cutting. Both straight and curved cuts are possible with a band saw. With special auxiliary devices, circular cuts can also be made. A distinction is made between vertical and horizontal band saws, which refers to the position of the saw band. Horizontal band saws are mostly used for cutting bar material (steel or other metals). In them, the band is located on a foldable bracket, and the cutting pressure is controlled by a hydraulic damper. Vertical band saws, on the other hand, are used more for cuts from the surface.
