From 10. September until 13 September, the annual conference of the German Association of General and Applied Microbiology (VAAM) took place in Göttingen. Three of our PhD candidates represented SBT at this conference. Carina gave a presentation on her ongoing work on studying metabolic burden and geranic acid production in Pseudomonas putida as part of the MAMMUT project, and Luisa presented the results of her master thesis, which was conducted in the CoConut project. Marleen contributed with a poster of her work on the production of amino acid derivatives in Pseudomonas putida. We were very happy to reconnect with the German microbiology community in person once again!
