Vita

Stephan Schoft (1970) received his diploma degree in electrical engineering from the institute of electricity supply at Erlangen University / Germany in 1996. From 1997 to 2002 he worked as a scientific assistant at the institue of high voltage and high current engineering at Technische Universität Dresden / Gemany. From 2002 to 2004 he joined the institute of high voltage technology at Technische Universität München / Germany in order to continue his research activities on electrical contacts. Since 2004 he is with ABB Sécheron R&D at Geneva / Switzerland. As a project leader he works on the development of medium voltage devices for railway application.
