Vita

Myriam Koch studied electrical engineering and information technology at the RWTH Aachen University. She then moved to ETH Zurich, where she received her Ph.D. for the thesis on the modeling of breakdown in alternative insulation gases in 2015. This was followed by an industrial activity at the company Pfisterer Kontaktsysteme GmbH. There she worked as research engineer in the field of cable accessories on questions related to the insulation systems for medium and high voltage cables, material requirements, clarification of failures and 3D simulations of electric and thermal fields. In addition, she was a guest professor at the High Voltage Laboratories of TU Darmstadt in 2018/2019. In 2020 she was appointed professor at the Technical University of Munich.
