Welcome to the Chair of High-Power Converter Systems (HLU)

Our research focus lies on power converters and includes their topology, modelling, design and control. These aspects are of paramount importance for the development of sustainable and intelligent solutions to the challenges posed by the energy transition. This requires new models and concepts to overcome the barriers to the performance of power converters and their components.

Our research involves an in-depth systemic and multidisciplinary knowledge of power converters and as well as their components and applications. In this context, we also research on innovative control strategies for converter-fed electric drives as they play a key role in electric vehicles.
