In collaboration with Imperial College London, a review article was published in the Journal of Power Sources on August 22, 2023 with the following title:
"The heating triangle: A quantitative review of self-heating methods for lithium-ion batteries at low temperatures".
In addition to outlining the current state of research in battery self-heating, it presented a method for evaluating and easily comparing self-heating methods. The Heating Triangle represents the variables specific heat rate, specific performance coefficient and specific temperature difference.
The work shows that this indicator is universally applicable and suitable as a metric for evaluating self-heating processes. The dedection method provides the basis for future analytical considerations of self-heating.
