Engineering research is a central task of the TUM School of Engineering and Design. Application-oriented research and basic research are on an equal footing. Research institutions of the Department Energy and Process Engineering such as test centers, external institutes, laboratories, and computing clusters provide a powerful infrastructure for this purpose.
