Sustainable generation - CO2 sinks from biogas and fuel cells
In order to halt climate change, CO2 must be actively drawn from the atmosphere in addition to reducing emissions. Landwärme and Reverion use the CO2 bound in biomass for this purpose by combining biogas production with a highly efficient fuel cell and CCS system. In addition to biomethane, either electricity is reversibly generated from biogas or hydrogen is produced using electricity, and the CO2 is stored for the long term. This solution already enables negative emissions in combination with renewable energy generation.
