INI.TUM-EOL
The end-of-line (EOL) test is the last test in the battery manufacturing process of high-voltage battery systems before they are installed in the electric vehicle. By means of different current pulses in charging and discharging direction, characteristic parameters like the internal resistant of the battery can be determined. In addition, voltage differences of single cells or parallel strings can be used to deduce batteries homogeneity and to ensure a correct installation.
Since experimental investigations on complete battery systems are highly cost-intensive and electrochemical models are becoming more and more important and meaningful, the target is to optimize EOL tests in battery manufacturing processes by means of suitable simulation models.
